Drag to set position!
Due to the new policy and 1 000 images limitation, I have to remove more than 2 000 images, as I don't want to pay, because:
- Since the Trump election, America is declining and I don't want to pay for a subscription to a company in a country which seems to be sinking into Fascism. Trumptards, how can you believe Trump's America is greater? You are ridiculous for the very first time in your history.
- I don't appreciate the 'Art of the Deal' according to Yahoo then Oath, then Verizon then SmugMug: Yahoo allows you almost as many photos as you want (1 TB), then sells you to Oath-Verizon-SmugMug who say if you want to keep them, you have to pay. This is unfair. And who will buy SmugMug when it fails – which will probably happen shortly in the banana Republic the US have become? And the price is too expensive for one who only wants to share his photographic experiments with other passionate people and refuses to sell them. In Trump's world, the top achievement is not creating, but selling. In Flickr auld lang syne, I had a "pro" account for about $20.
So, I began this sad memory deleting job, but this was such an heartbreaker that I think I'll finally delete all of them.
PS: After deleting 500-1000 photos, I discovered that I could have transferred them for free and in the twinkle of an eye to Irista (where I already had an unused account) :-[ I transferred the survivors, and I can add new ones.

Souvent les mêmes qu'ici : j'utilise Ipernity pour les membres de ma famille qui évitent l’anglais, et Panoramio pour les images dont la valeur est surtout documentaire. Je place aussi les photos de cette sorte sur Wikimedia.
These are often the same as here: I use Ipernity for my siblings and friends who avoid English and may be frightened by the name Flickr: in French, the word has a very derogatory connotation: "flic" means "cop", so that "un fliqueur" (same pronunciation as that of "Flickr") would be someone like a member of the KGB or STASI, a man who is continually doing heavy policing on you! At least it means that Yahoo never cared very much about French;)
Seriously, I met several persons who thought that subscribing to Flikr would sound like enlisting in the Gestapo!
