Her photography is an inspiration -- both literally and figuratively. She has the great good fortune to live in one of the most photogenic places on Earth, but she has made the most of it. Her photographs of the Gettysburg area (not just the battlefield) in all seasons and all times of day are a case-study in the potential of a long-term, sensitively done documentary project. She has also provided enormous encouragement to other photographers and has brought an important photo pool (Gettysburg) back from the dead.

They see monuments, buildings, and landscapes that are pieces of the story, but they fail to see the story that these places and special spots encompass. Fauxto_digit, through the lens of her camera, tells a poignant and dramatic tale that so many of us miss on the battlefield. As a resident of Gettysburg, she never fails to share the beauty and the tragedy of our country’s most beloved Civil War site in every image she takes.
