Diabetic since age 6 or 7 (parent's can't really recall - neither can I - I was too busy being a kid). For some reason I can't seem to shake this monkey off my back! I like to try different things in life. Love adventure. Like to cook up a storm (but have someone else clean up my mess - splat, spat). Have a few cats despite my being allergic to them. I am creative, sew, knit, quilt, paint, jewellery making, sheet metal, wood work, to name a few. Enjoy travelling. Ride a motorcycle (afraid of speed - duhhh). Sail a 25' Catalina called the Fat Cat (afraid of water - duhhh - where are my floaties - waaahhh). Like to do things that make me realise life is worth living the fullest 'cause one day I may cross the street without looking the right way - and WHACK - I'm in heaven (please note - I want to be cremated in dark Belgian chocolate! Currently VP of the only English speaking branch in Quebec - WIDA (West Island Diabetes Association) - bringing this chapter from the 50's into the 21st century (quite the challenge).
