Traffic crashes continue to be the number one killer of teens in Minnesota, where each year distracted driving is a factor in one out of every four crashes resulting in more than 70 deaths and 350 serious injuries.

To uphold our commitment as Hennepin County's primary traffic safety organization, and to combat these alarming facts, AAA Minneapolis has launched an innovative safe driving advocacy campaign called Fasten & Focus targeting an audience of young drivers in the Twin Cities metro area with messages and tactics that encourage safe driving behaviors through creative initiatives including events, advertising, and traditional and social media outreach.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the dangers and serious consequences of distracted driving and is devoted to providing education and resources that will help every driver understand the importance of focusing on driving, and only driving, every time they get behind the wheel.
