On good days, I imagine myself the conceptual artist, creating retro reality out of bits and pieces of twentieth century American life. Monday morning, Tuesday in our business, opens about the same as any other job. Emails and distractions, budget and schedules, meeting with the staff, (my husband Paul), who can be cranky but works hard in the company.

My collection is not easily categorized. It’s all about my eye, my passion for the quirky and unique. Hints of retro, things have to be of a certain age, even crafted pieces are recovered from vintage scrap heaps. Mid century memories, studio pottery, lighting and paintings, even fabrics and footwear.

Come along and share the experience; Hypermarket in The Fremont Sunday Market, Etsy at MJsFancyStuff, or at our eBay store, The Flatbay Curiosity Shop.
