ME: I was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I spent the first seventeen years of my life between Iraq, Kuwait and Bangladesh trying to avoid every major Middle East crises. I moved to Atlanta, GA to pursue my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (at Georgia Institute of Technology). After a brief work period in Waukesha, WI, I returned to complete my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering specializing in the area of Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS). During my graduate program, I met, fell in love, and married Nadia (the most amazing person in my life). Three years into our marriage, we moved up to the north-east (Worcester, MA) where we were blessed with a feisty daughter Natasha (2010) and a wonderful son Ibrahim (2013). We moved to the mid-west (Naperville, IL) in 2017 to start another adventure!

MY FLICKR: I bought my first camera (a Nikon D60) in August 2008 as a graduation gift to myself, and since then I have been keeping a record of all the memorable trips and events in our lives. In November 2010, I traded in my old D60 camera for a new D300S. In March 2024, I finally upgraded to my first mirrorless camera - Nikon Z6-II.
