Drag to set position!
Hi there! I'm been a picture taker ever since my mom taught me how to use her 35mm Canon AE-1, which I took on many an adventure. When I finally upgraded to digital in 2005, it was such a change! The technical side of picture taking suddenly became easier for me, since I'm more of a visual learner.
I've taken all kinds of pictures over the years and still tend to be somewhat eclectic or seasonal in my taste. I have recently gone to experimenting with 35mm and 120 film shooting and self-developing black and white film (still thinking about learning color...). That's what I did to stay sane in 2020. (AND It's WAY easier to load 35mm in a Paterson roll let me tell you!) I've even shot a few rolls in a Holga (a plastic toy camera if you're unfamiliar) and have also managed to develop some old film I found in a Kodak Brownie I bought on a sale. So, a new adventure.
Most of my pictures center around Central Illinois near where I live, but occasionally I take a trip and add to my portfolio. Beyond this I've taken on some portrait assignments to help turn my hobby into some extra change. Needless to say its more of my side job but it's definitely a lot of fun. Thanks for visiting and I hope you follow! I will definitely check out your work too. Take care!!
