Photography constantly amazes me. Perhaps that is why I like it..
I think I am taking a picture of one thing, but the camera presents strongly some other aspect of the picture. Just when I think I learned it, something new happens, or NOTHING at all happens. I love that it is digital and am not wasting these thousands of experiments, many of which end up deleted, if not on the camera, then soon after.
You won't find many astounding trick shots in my photostream. I tend to view things spiritually, and the photograph posted became my communication with my creator at that moment.
No picture has been taken, Lord, that ever duplicated,
The majesty and splendour that Your hand in love created,
Although my mind beholds it, it would surely seem,
The perfect picture I would shoot, remains just but a dream.
I wrote that poem (there are other verses) back in the days when I painted. After I got my first digital camera, just to take shots to paint I thought, I grew addicted to the instant gratification presented by digital photography.
I rarely paint now, but perhaps one day when I am too old (or gas is too expensive) I will again paint. For now, I can't get enough of God's daily gifts of "eye candy."

I recently got an iPad, and discovered a neat little app that works great for digital painting. I am no Monet, but it is sure fun. Check it out...
