My name is Fábio Nascimento. I don’t call myself a photographer. I take pictures. I always have a camera by my side. I was born and raised in Brazil, in Minas Gerais. That’s the mountainous state. I started out in journalism. It didn’t quite work out. I came to Paris and majored in film at the Sorbonne Nouvelle. And here I am, until today, now specializing in documentary films. I like films. I like documentaries, above all. I also work with TV and film editing, lighting, camera, but mostly I photograph. Musicians on stage, extraordinary

and random encounters that I witness on these streets, my friends at ease, film stills. I like to experiment with film rolls, developing processes, color saturation, juxtaposition. I like to photograph. Those who know me see me at my best at it. Recently, I joined a Parisian band, "Clint is Gone". I also like what we do. Music, spontaneous and simple music, in the company of great people. My musical background comes from the years of piano lessons I had as a child, but just like the cameras came into my life, so did the guitar, the flute, the lyrics. I love music. Who am I to judge if I’m a musician, a film tech or just a passionate appreciator? But I’m not a photographer. I just take pictures. I like to keep it that way. And here you can sample snapshots that have caught my eyes and that I consider valuable to share with you.
