I have been clicking a shutter of some sort since about 1974. My first camera was a Polaroid. Then I moved up to a Vivitar 110mm. After that I hit the big time with a Vivitar SLR. At least I thought it was great. Then in 1978, while in Misawa, Japan, I purchased a Canon EF SLR. This was the last manual SLR Canon made beforethe AE.
I have had a couple of point and shoot digitals and knew I definitely liked digital photography. Then, for Christmas '08, I bought a Canon XSi DSLR. My first new SLR since 1978 and a digital to boot. Now you get to see what I can do with it. I hope you like what you see.
January of 2010, I took possession of a Canon EOS 50D.
A few days later, I picked up a Tamron 70-200mm F2.8 Zoom. My stable is growing.
In the spring of 2009, I was laid-off along with thousands of others from the company for which I worked. I poured myself into my photography and finding a job. After eighteen months, I found a great job. I now travel a lot and I have the opportunity to capture images of many different places.
I may even have an opportunity to meet some of my flickr friends. So, I may be coming to a town near you. :o)
Please do not download any of my images without my permission. All images in my photo stream and in all sets is under Copyright Tom Andrews Photography. Having said that, if you are interested enough in one of my images to want a copy, then contact me, we will talk. I promise to be nice. :o)
Thank you for your interest. May your shutter always open to reveal beauty.
