It's what I used to be a lot of years ago - hence the tag.

I now use Pentax DSLRs, (and my Lumix compact). I enjoy using manual vintage lenses (especially Russian ones) and I tend to photograph 'things' rather than people.

I often take far too many photos and end-up spending hours sifting through full memory cards, but I really enjoy photography and especially like experimenting with different styles and themes.

I learn something new on almost every shoot.

I enjoy being a flickr user, as I get a lot of motivation and inspiration from this fine gathering of creative folk. I always look forward to browsing through the fresh uploads from my regular contacts and groups, taking a quick look at the explore pages and checking feedback on my own work.

You'll never get me onto facebook, but I'm happy with flickr because there's a point to it ; creativity and mutual support.
