My name is Tom (aka f22digital), I'm an award winning photographer based in Whitley Bay, North East England focusing on seascapes, dogs, and abstract details.

My image "Baxter's Highland Adventure" placed 1st in the 'Dogs at Play' category in the Kennel Clubs Dog Photographer of the Year 2015. My shot "At the End of the Rainbow" was commended in the Outdoor Photographer of the Year 2016. The image features in the OPOTY Portfolio II book, and was exhibited at The Photography Show at the NEC in Birmingham in March 2017. I also placed 3rd in the Wex Photographer of the Year 2016, a year long photo competition run by online retailer Wex Photographic on Twitter.

I started taking photographs in 2008 after relocating from the Midlands to the North East. There is some amazing coastal scenery in the region which has encouraged me to get out and explore with my camera. As I live on the east coast many of my shots are taken at dawn. I love the feeling of calm at this time of day and the colours often on display are amazing. I enjoy capturing the ever changing coastline and the ways in which light and the elements can alter the mood and atmosphere of a location throughout the seasons.
