Hello, I am Stella.... I have been here on Flickr now for just over 10 years! Yikes, that means I am a decade older ;-( . I hope my photographs will intrigue you and make you want to return because I am continuously in awe and inspired by the artistry and uniqueness of SO many of you here in the Flickrverse...
You may notice from my contact/friend list that I don't belong to one type or another. I have always been on the outside, looking in so to speak.....not particularly belonging here or there: an observer mainly. I love variety and many types of photographic languages and styles. I have a special appreciation for a stranger's interpretation of my photos, as there seems to be a purity to your reaction, something of delicate and special value, so, Thank you. And I am not a person that just adds people to increase my views or faves, no, I wish to actually connect with my contacts and give and receive genuine feedback and thoughts/reflections.
My main goal isn't technical skill or complexity; my main reason for taking pictures is a visual expression of emotion......; however, I do attempt to improve my knowledge and skill so I can expand my visual language.....

Stella takes a mean photo but that doesn't really sum up the Stella I've come to know through flickr. Her 'eye' is unrivalled as I see it, she can often see the unseen in an image and then bring it to life in spectacular fashion to share with the lucky ones who are her contacts. Her 'eye' is unrivalled as I see it, she can often see the unseen in an image and then bring it to life in spectacular fashion to share with the lucky ones who are her contacts. Her photographs always get me thinking and most times in an unexpected direction. Then there's the commenting! NOBODY, that's NOBODY comments as well as Stella, it's from the heart (as are her own pictures) and is always positive and inspiring. Stella comments in the way comments should be made-not a quick one word entry but considered and generous. Although we've only become cyber friends I feel a lot of empathy with Stella-if we ever were to meet, we'd probably find we have little in common but here in internet land, she's a shining light. Stella has definately got the "eye" when it comes to photographing flowers, and getting the most from them, always finding a different angle to shoot from, or using natural light to its best advantage, her stream is full of interesting and varied shots, Stella has a style all of her own, with her point and shoot, she manages to capture shots, that many a pro would be proud of. Her shadowland, and lost & found sets are so cool, and are definately out of the ordinary. Stella makes a great Flickr friend regularly stopping by and adding her valued and lovely comments, often making me chuckle, with her intelligent humour. Keep Clicking :-))

Stella's eye is the best person on this planet. I haven't been to any other planets (that I recall) but I've known the very best on this planet. And just so you know, she's the best of all. Funny, though, she doesn't know it, although she damn well suspects she's pretty up there.
