I became a volunteer in the C&W Department at the Bluebell Railway In May 2003 and this site is primarily dedicated to the restoration and maintenance my colleagues and I have been undertaking since then. Most albums follow the progress of an individual vehicle through restoration, overhaul or maintenance, or all three! The rest are assigned to various aspects of the department including moquette, bogies and carriage prints, charters, visits to other railways or steam on the main line.

Following the hiatus that was covid, I decided on a change of career and joined the Railway as the full-time carriage painter in June 2022. For fifteen years a group of C&W volunteers have been actively fund raising for the restoration of Maunsell Restaurant Car No. 7864. On 28 February, the coach finally entered D-road for its restoration to begin. To date about £140,000 has been raised through shed tours, book sales, donations and sponsored events including bike rides and marathons.

This site was set up in early 2011 following the collapse of Fotopic. I will gradually upload the photos that were lost at this time, starting from 2006 and working forwards.
