The Dutch Type Library (DTL) develops and publishes exclusive high quality digital typefaces. Attention is focused primarily on contemporary designs, but DTL also revives valuable historic type designs. Together with the Hamburg-based company URW++ Design & Development GmbH, the Dutch Type Library produces software for the professional font production (DTL FontMaster suite).

The Dutch Type Library operates on an international basis. Established in the spring of 1990, it was the first of its kind in the low countries, and nowadays it is the largest digital type foundry in the Netherlands.

DTL was founded by the type designer and Senior Lecturer Frank E. Blokland.
