Student & Staff Innovation Initiative at NUI Galway

Mission

The purpose of EXPLORE is to:

- Enable sustainable innovation and change to take place at NUI Galway

- Foster new forms of relationship between students and staff

- Impact and improve the student experience, and promote students actively participating in all facets of campus life

- Overcome barriers to implementing change, including resource and time challenges

- Increase students’ employability by facilitating work experience

- Encourage student’s sense of involvement and pride in the university by giving them the chance to shape campus life

Description

Run by NUI Galway and the Students’ Union, EXPLORE gives students and staff the opportunity to work in equal partnership to enable sustainable innovation and change to take place at NUI Galway. Students and staff are invited to team up and work together on an innovative, sustainable project of their choosing over a period of two – five months. Up to €1,000 of funding is available for successful projects. Application forms are available on www.su.nuigalway.ie/explore.
