Explorations in Puerto Rican Culture is a three year project conducted by Springfield Public Schools in collaboration with the Massachusetts Cultural Council. The project is designed to incorporate Puerto Rican culture elements into Springfield curriculum and school cultures. The project also works to engage the Puerto Rican community whose children comprise 50% of the district school population. This project is funded by the US Department of Education.
