Laura Travels is the PERFECT nickname for Laura. I've yet to come across anyone else on flickr that travels as much as she does! What's great is that she shares her travels with us in images that are always beautiful. She captures moments in scenes of beauty that will, literally, take your breath away. I can't tell you how many times I've taken or seen a "good" photo of a scene that just left a feeling of "oh, you had to be there" or "the image does not do it justice". Not so with Laura's images. With each visit to her stream I find new beauty... just when you think you've seen one of her best shots you see another... as dependable as the sunrise!!

Do not visit her photostream if you have breathing problems -- virtually every image will take your breath away. Sometimes I wonder if this stream is really the work of just one person -- there are so many great shots from so many great places. Sometimes I wonder if this stream is really the work of just one person -- there are so many great shots from so many great places. Perhaps, like Shakespeare, Laura Travels is a myth, a front for several dozen nature and travel photographers toiling away night and day around the globe. Regardless, her photostream is, in my opinion based on nearly two years on FLICKR, simply one of the absolute best!

Au moins les francophones, sans doute minoritaires sur ces pages, pourront apprécier. Ce que fait Laura en matière de photo de paysage en particulier est tout simplement magnifique. Animée d'une soif d'aventure et de mouvement qui apparaît à chacune de ses vacances photographiques, elle sait capturer les moments forts et attendre la lumière qui fera la différence avec nos-photos-à-nous. En outre, je trouve qu'elle progresse à une vitesse phénoménale. Vous, les pros, vous n'avez plus qu'à bien vous tenir !

Her artistic use of colour, light and composition sets her apart and makes her one of my favourite photographers. Her work is some of the best you will find on Flickr.
