"You need a hobby," they said. So I bought a camera—a Nikon D100, if memory serves, paired with a less-than-stellar lens. That was the beginning. Many thousands of photos and several cameras later, I'm finally starting to understand what it means to truly make a photograph. I'm still learning, of course, but that's the beauty of it. It's a hobby, and most of the time, I'm having fun.
