On the Art & Design Foundation I have really enjoyed ceramics and life drawing which has added diversity to my practice. I have fully embraced the process of creative research, understanding the range and breadth of sources for inspiration. During the course we have had multiple life drawing sessions, where we selected different techniques to portray the body. This developed my interest in real life structure and movement to inspire materials and clothing. This led me to the work of a local innovator, one of the inventors of the Speedo Sharkskin suit. I was fascinated about how the idea was conceived and then how it was tested in water and in wind tunnels.
