I enjoy the art of photography--my father was a photographer by trade. However, I'm a confirmed amateur who occasionally gets a lucky great shot! A Goddess and Globetrotter, world traveler, dog servant, Best Aunt in the World, Office Manager par excellence, working on Success:

"To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded."

I recently lost to a stroke a beautiful 13 year old Weimaraner boy, Jaeger, but continue to love and care for a "Pointeraner" girl, Natasha, both rescue dogs, and a new Vizsla pup, Rooster. I'm missing Ajax, died June 2007 and more recently AWOL the border collie who kept the weims in line. They are in fact my greatest passion, time and money sink.

I used to work at the travel desk at the San Diego Zoo and then went into travel consulting on my own part-time, so if you see pictures from Asia, mostly Southwest China, in Flickr it's because I've made many, many road trips in the backcountry there, scouting trips for my clients. I lean toward adventure travel, ecotourism (yes, it IS possible in China) and special-interest programs. Sadly, I can't travel with my dogs, so I don't get away as much anymore. I just live vicariously through my clients!

One more thing: apparently, I am a snapdragon!
