Short version: I'm an artless dummy with a camera.

 

Longer version: I've only really been into photography since April of 2005, so cut me a little slack. ;)

 

I'm hoping that by getting hooked on flickr-crack I can sort of learn what makes a good composition and what doesn't by osmosis as I view page after page of photos and mentally give them each the thumbs up or down on my gut feel.

 

Or on other days, when I just surf some of my contacts' photostreams and find myself mesmerized by the fantastic quantity of really great stuff that they've shot.

 

I'm hoping that somehow I'll get a bit better with the camera, even if that just means my family snapshots are a little better than they would have been. ;)
