I can't live without… Cameras, Coffee & Ice Cream

Favorite comfort food... Double tall nonfat vanilla latte (extra hot in the winter) and Gramma’s special steak dinners with baked potatoes and her famous pork and beans.

People I'd like to meet... Richard Avedon. “He's so great, maybe the greatest. He defines a particular period in America for me in the same way as Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol and Walker Evans. Avedon is such a personal photographer as well, which is ironic, considering he called his collection simply Evidence. He is also a photographer in the real sense of the word. He never tries to be anything else but someone who takes pictures. A classic imagemaker.” –David Bailey

Who I'd like to photograph... Everyone! I am continually drawn to and intrigued by the uniqueness yet commonness of humanity.

Equipment:

DSLRs:

Nikon D200 aka "Mack" My old photography teacher once said during a DSLR vs. Compact camera discussion that “you don’t need a mack truck when a pick-up will do.” I have to say though; sometimes you really do need a Mack truck. lol Nikon D50 aka "Baby Dee" My first love, my first DSLR, my go-to gal.

Vintage camera collection:

1977 Nikon FM aka "Veruka Salt" A finicky old school gal. One of these days I’ll get her under control. early 1970's Argus aka "Argy" is retired, but still makes appearances as model. 1920's Kodak Brownie aka "Mildred" also retired but appears for the occasional photo-op.

Compact:

FujiFinePix S1000 aka Fred. Fred is now retired, he's been replaced by Sadie aka Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5

. I love Sadie's Leica lens and HD video!
