I am a Philadelphia based artist concentrating in Fine Art Paintings and Photography.

I attempt to have my photography bring out the original reasons for the art-form; documenting. This works for both of my loves; portraiture and travel. With portraits and people photography, I look for the personality of the individual to come through and introduce themselves not only to me, but to my camera. I can take hundreds of photos just to get that ONE where I know.. you're saying something with who you are. Sometimes these pieces are done for the purpose of simply introducing the subject to the viewer, and other times I am trying to show something a little more- a thought, a philosophy, a concept.

My travel work is a challenge for me. I love exploring and being away from my more controlling "artist-self" of directed light and composition. I love photographing people in their natural environment, especially when they don't quite know I'm there; it's raw and honest. Sometimes the places I'm in even speak for themselves. It's all about finding your personal philosophy in a world where you didn't know it could exist.
