EverGreen Tacoma is Tacoma's Urban Forestry Program. What is Urban Forestry, you ask? Urban Forestry is the art, science, and technology of managing trees, forests and natural systems in and around cities, suburbs, and towns for the health and well-being of all people.

The urban forest includes trees and vegetation in planting strips, neighborhood parks, open spaces, and private property.

Urban Forestry is guided by the purpose of improving the livability of the urban environment. Urban Forestry is an integral part of the vast variety of services the City of Tacoma offers its citizens. Urban Forestry can often be a part of the solution to municipal issues and problems, such as traffic calming, stormwater mangement and more!
