I am an American accelerator physicist (based at Jefferson Lab), recently returned to the US after nearly 8 years abroad. I've lived in 5 countries on 3 continents.

Most recently, I was residing in Mol, Belgium to perform research at SCK•CEN on the MYRRHA Project.

Prior to this, I was based at CERN (where I am still a User), and was employed by the University of Oxford Particle Physics Department John Adams Institute for Accelerator Science. I am originally from Mount Holly, Vermont and spent my formative years in Virginia, where I did my undergraduate degree and my PhD (at UVA and Jefferson Lab). I also lived in Daejeon, South Korea for two years.

I was formerly a film photographer, specializing in hand-developed black and white photography. I stopped shooting for years when I lost access to a dark room. I shot some stuff for a while with a point and shoot digital, but finally made the jump to a real DSLR (Canon 6D). I'll update this page as I shoot more.
