I heart the Dewey Decimal Classification System..

I am a “tweedy academic” in disguise (or maybe not). My BA is in Museum Studies; focus on Ancient civilizations (Ancient Near East, Greece and Mesoamerica). I love ancient/classical civlizations, but you can count me out after 495 AD (CE for you PC folks). Historically, you can really count me out around the 4th century BC (Alexander and Rome bores me). I don't do Roman art. You can usually spot me in the library with the biggest stack of books written in Greek (literally), then later frantically thumbing through them on the subway.

My main cup of tea is deities and the afterlife. My favorite topics are the Homeric underworld and Hell in Art, I've even dabbled a bit on the Jinn. I love the gods and demons of Ancient Greece and Mesopotamia (that includes Pazuzu for those of you who saw the Exorcist) and go to sleep at night next to my Oxford Classical Dictionary.

Oh, It would be a shame to leave out that I collect comics (DC Vertigo), records (Punk, 80s and Hardcore) and anything Doctor Who. Hell, I even used to ride BMX Freestlye Yo! Shockingly, as of about a year ago I could still do a trick or two and were not talking Endos!

My “cool” friends think I’m “geeky” and my “geeky” friends think I’m “cool.” So you figure it out.....
