August 12th, 2011, marks the beginning of a new journey on which the intrepid artist embarks. The practice of photography is something that always drew him like a moth to the flame. Images are a medium with such immediacy, cutting right to the core of the human experience. Eugnot Nybbor often finds himself trolling the abundance of photo blogs on the web, curiously trying to decipher the stories, emotions, and meaning behind the pictures that people share with the world.

A love affair with the camera developed first with moving images. As a college aesthete with a borrowed digital video camera, Eugnot set out to begin a dialogue between film and music, a symbiotic relationship where each draws life from the other bringing the aesthetic experience to new transcendencies.

When a small baby blue analogue camera with a woman's name jumped off the shelf at Urban Outfitters, he sensed the impending obsession. For nearly a year he waited, holding the lomographic impulse at bay, until the Diana F+ just had to be his.

With a less than terrific start however, this relationship between Eugnot and the captured image has been rocky. Film is expensive, and finances can really be problematic in any relationship. So in an effort to forge ahead, to not entirely abandon his pictorial ambitions, Eugnot Nybbor has set a goal: 5 photos a day for one year.

Conceptualization is one of the intrepid artists strong points, but execution is often lacking, not to mention the amateur nature of his abilities thus far. And therefore the task is set, to develop greater skill, consistency, to put a product out to the world, to journal the everyday existence in one of the world's greatest cities which is ever changing and never at a loss for inspiring subject matter.

But of course just 5 photos a day could be easy. So boundaries must be set:

1) Diversity is key - no two photos in the same location, of the same subject, in the same lighting, etc.

2) Photos have to be taken at intervals greater than 5-10 minutes from one another

3) No repetition

Of course this doesn't apply to getting a better shot if the shot just taken is found to be unsatisfactory. But the whole point is to not just blow off the project by snapping 5 photos of one thing and calling it a day. The spirit is to be as interesting as possible in the subject matter and to try to capture as many unique moments as possible.

This is the manifesto of Eugnot Nybbor. This is...
