My Most Interesting Flickr Photos
My Website —it's under construction, but I'm updating it often, and there should be some interesting stuff up there.
Things that capture my attention and dominate my time mainly take the form of art, history, literature, poetry, film, linguistics, anthropology. Probably music would trumph all those, though; both listening and performing. I enjoy riding motocross and mountain biking. The thing I love most, though, is traveling to new places, and experiencing new cultures, foods, and atmospheres.
I'm always eager to learn more about photography. I welcome all tips, critiques, and advice. Like it or hate it, please let me know why and what I can do better. I really want to learn and progress as a photographer.
I have my photos under Creative Commons "Some Rights Reserved," not that most people will care. To the occasional visitor who might actually want to use one of my photos, that means that you can use my photos all you want with my blessing, but for non-commercial use only. I would also really appreciate a credit of some kind; just something simple, like "Photo by Ethan Crowley," maybe with a link to my Flickr homepage. If for some reason you want to use it for commercial purposes, Flickrmail me. We can talk.
I see from browsing my fellow Flickrmember's pages that it's cool to post your "equipment." My equipment list is pretty anticlimactic. Here's my exhaustive list:
Nikon D7000 with Nikkor AF-S 18-105 3.5-5.6 VR lens
Nikon D40 with a Nikkor AF-S 18-55 3.5-5.6 lens
Nikkor AF 80-200 4-5.6

I stayed with Ethan's family in Cambodia in early 2006, and they are among the most hospital and gracious people I've ever been with. Ethan was not actually living with them during most of this time. But for the last few weeks, he was back home. During that time he was my very competent freelance interpreter and also the producer of a video interview you can find at my website.
