Only a week ago I saw Emily's portrait in a blogpost and it immediatly caught my eye. I stared at it for a while in order to find the right words to express the thoughts that were running through my mind. A gorgeous girl with a beautiful face is what you may see. Honesty and emotion is what I saw and since that moment I wanted to know more about her story. I looked at her photos, each full of creativity and passion, wonderful use of light and most importantly full of soul. Though I still won't be able to find the right words to express the comforting shivers of joy and awe that are running through my veins while looking at her photos, I still know that this is the best feeling of the world. Emily, it will be people like you who will own the future. Such humble, creative, talented, warm-hearted and beautiful souls like you are.

I always feel like there are two types of people in the photography world: those that have to practice like crazy to keep getting better (like myself) and those that have a natural gift. Emily definitely seems to have a natural gift and eye for photography. I came across her stream one day and could tell that she had this really distinct signature style - very cute images with just a touch of Emily in them. I then looked on her profile to discover just how young she is.......it's mind blowing to think that she's at such a high level so early on in life. That's truly a beautiful thing. On top of her photography, she's a really wonderful person and very supportive of my work here on Flickr. It's people like her that have kept me doing what I do through words of encouragement. Emily's stream has quietly become one of my favorites here on flickr, and she has become one of my favorite people. I have a list of those that inspire me most, and she is definitely on it. Her work is so full of raw and honest emotion. I remember seeing her "[21/52]" shot and I could not take my eyes away. Her portraits are so stunning and I really appreciate the time that she puts into her ideas. They are carried out so well. I know that she is incredibly humble and probably would not agree with me, but I think her photography is so high-quality, her work looks so professional. And she is so young! More than anything I can relate to Emily, like we have been friends for so long or something. Even though we have never met. I think that we have both been through so much and have felt similar things. I just wish she knew how much I admire her and her work... and how much I hope that she keeps picking up her camera and using her emotions to create things, to create beautiful pictures. I want her to use these feelings she has for art. She has such a gift. I am so ridiculously envious of Emily. She is so gorgeous. Both inside and out. I am intimidated by how gorgeous she is and yet so thankful to know her and have her in my life in this strange way. Somehow I feel a very special bond with Emily and that is my reason for writing this. This is the best way that I knew how to tell her!
