Ancien portraitiste-caricaturiste de rue, ayant également réalisé quelques peintures à l'huile et au pastel, j'ai fini par m'intéresser à la photo comme un prolongement de ces arts.

La lumière et ses règles m'avaient tout d'abord séduit en peinture avec les impressionnistes, j'ai mené quelques travaux sur l'exposition pour jouer sur ces lumières du jour et de la nuit.

Tout récemment j'ai fait l'acquisition d'un appareil numérique qui me donne l'avantage de voir tout de suite le résultat du travail et me permet également d'éviter le scannage des films pour le stockage comme c'était le cas avec l'argentique.

Je travaille avec un boîtier Sony Alpha 200 et un objectif de base 18-70mm, boîtier qui me permet de réutiliser les objectifs Minolta AF 75-300mm et AF 35-70mm utilisés sur l'argentique Minolta Dynax 7xi avec lesquels j'ai réalisé mes premiers travaux en photographie.

Je ne me prétends pas photographe, j'essaie simplement de rester un artiste de l'image et d'y associer la photographie comme autre moyen d'expression.

I use to be a portrait drawer and caricaturist working as a street artist. I also did some oil and soft pastel paintings. I've now finished that to find some interest in photography as a continuity of these arts.

I was first attracted to light and its rules and was amazed by impressionist art. I've made some works of exposure to play on the light of day and night.

Very recently I acquired a digital camera that lets me see the results of my work with no delay and permits me to avoid scanning negatives as I had to before with my old film camera.

I am now working with a Sony Alpha 200 and a kit-lens 18-70mm. This allows me to use my old Minolta AF 75-300mm and AF 35-70mm lenses from my Minolta Dynax 7xi which I used to do my first works in photography.

I don't pretend to be a photographer. I just try to stay an artist of images and to integrate photography as another way to express myself.
