Shims is always someone I can trust to tell it to me like it is. He is never afraid to come out of nowhere and comment on one of my shots. He is almost always right when he questions an aspect of my photography and for that I have always looked up to him ever since I joined DMU. Although his camera costs about as much as my entire guitar collection he wields it with such conviction. Whether it is abstracts, landscapes, or portraits I always find myself second guessing myself to delete Shims' shots (I usually do anyway though : ) ). He has been a mentor to me in the last few months and for that I am very grateful. He is always willing to go out of his way to spend time looking over photos or going over post processing with you. I also enjoy his tastes in vodka, and women
