Lula Washington Dance Theatre (LWDT) is a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Arts organization founded in 1980 by Lula and Erwin Washington to provide a creative outlet for dance artists in Los Angeles. Through public performances and community outreach, we seek to build bridges between people of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Through our school and educational programs, we aim to inspire and educate children throughout Los Angeles and across the United States. Our goal is to keep young people off the streets by giving them creative alternatives to drugs, gangs, violence and failure.
