photo circa 1991

photography is something i've done since my youth . my first photography class was in 1988 , my first camera a minolta srt 101 , then 2 more minoltas , a nikon n 8008s , lots of cords flashes etc ..... now i'm shooting a nikon d60 with an sb 900 and sb800 .( well i was shooting a d60 , i traded that in today 12-26-08 for a d90. )

i always enjoyed working in the darkroom , kinda miss it now . it makes me wonder how many have ever hand printed color , dealt with the aggrevation of it , just trying to get it right .

now i enjoy photoshop , sometimes too much .

i've made a living at photo in the past i've done fast food foto at sears and olan mills glamour studio ,

( hell is sears portrait before christmas . screaming kids , screaming mothers . )

shot weddings , bands . festivals

had my portfolio stolen and every negative i'd ever took by a spiteful ex .

now i mainly shoot out of boredom, edit out of boredom, and flickr out of boredom. mainly to entertain myself. i guess i'm more of a snapshotist, meaning i prefer candids, always have . not that you can get too candid with multiple flashes. but hey, i like those too. i'm generally not trying to "go for " anything with my photos they just are . i'm generally not sure if i like them. so maybe next week they won't be here.
