So many times in my life I have been privy to some unbelievably beautiful scenes, often with only the camera as a companion.

Since the summer of 2005, work and play have allowed me to venture to the far flung regions of the Arctic Circle. I have slipped on the soft sand of the Sahara, crunched along the Columbian Icefields glacier, snorkeled in Revelstoke powder, cooked scones in my Kerry kitchen, stepped in icy waters after long races, and cycled by sheep that paid me no mind.

It has been a year of many moves, many days living out of a suitcase and wondering things like, "which box is my cheese grater in? And where is that box anyway?"

It has been a year of discovering that I am not good a paperwork, politics or the predictable.

That yes, I thrive on chaos and it seems to be symbiotic.

I hope you enjoy my photos. They are my creature comforts when I am far from "home". Wherever that might be.
