When I was new to Flickr, I remember discovering Eric's stream & being mightily impressed with the images I saw; but what blew me away was the fact the lot of those was taken via cameraphone. If proof is needed that a good photo doesn't depend on the equipment used but, rather, on the brilliance of the person wielding it, then Mr Setiawan is the man. :-)

Eric is one of my longest Flickr-friends, one of my very first contacts. On the the best cam-phone photographers i've seen. He's man full of joy and love for life. I reckon him , together with Primarita, Moriza and Kayodic to the " Indonesian / American school" , in the sense of Photographic style: vivid, colourfull and full of dynamics. A young master from Bandung. He is a proof that talent and skills to capture great picture come from within, his photographs always amaze me whether coming out of DSLR or his phonecam. Such a nice guy, I was fortunate to meet him in person.
Eric is a special friend in Flickr term who invited me to take myself out and get social contact in Flickr. He invited me to one of Flickr group and patiently gives various comments on my pictures. For all those fantastic things, all I can do is thanking him very much.

Eric is not a photographer, to me he is a artist, who have a strong influence of the inborn artistic DNA of Indonesian. All he work reflect the life of Indonesia without reserve. His strenght is that he is willing to learn & improve at all time. I am sure within a shot span, he would make a name for himself in Digital Imaging Arts sector. I strongly recommend for his capability & ability to do well for everything.....
