Erica Sherman is a professional photographer, writer, and copy editor with more than 11 years of journalism experience; 10 at Brooklyn’s largest chain of local community newspapers. She is currently a lead writer, editor and photographer for Sheepshead Bites, Sheepshead Bay’s only independent news outlet, which covers hyperlocal happenings in Sheepshead Bay, Brighton Beach, Coney Island, and Southern Brooklyn’s surrounding communities.

When she’s not banging out high quality copy for Sheepshead Bites, listening to country music, or playing Trivial Pursuit, Erica can usually be found snapping away on her Nikon D90 digital SLR, which she calls “the greatest camera of all-time.”

She enjoys going out on photo shoots more than anything and has shot everything from corporate galas, baseball games, and head shots, to crime scenes, spot news, family portraits, and more. There is nothing she will not shoot, nor any challenge she is unwilling to accept.

Erica recently deleted her facebook and Twitter accounts because, in her words, “They suck.”
