Warmest greetings fantastic Flickr family!

Thanks for coming over

…and checking out this bright new group of ours. We’re a team of your fellow Flicker’ites who have hooked-up to build an organization capable of putting all our best photos to work making our world a better place. Photography's power to touch the heart, inspire the mind and therefore change the world is what’s got us so excited and calling you over to come join in.

As long-time Flickr members

… we’ve finally found a way to show just how grateful we are for all the truly amazing Flickr photos here that have touched and inspired us. We’re embarking on the development and launch of a progressive new peace-work nonprofit organization called EquiLife. Our international aid program communications will center around and showcase the power of the photographic image to awaken, inspire and empower.

EquiLife International...who?

We’re an eclectic, multicultural international development team (14 contributors in 12 countries speaking 5 languages... and growing) working in creative collaboration on establishing a variety of innovative aid programs ranging from earth ecology conservation to human rights work. Our smart, down-to-earth and driven development cooperative is made up of artists, programmers, teachers, scientists, gardeners, technicians, musicians, laborers, philanthropists, writers, students, retirees, travelers, consultants, families, friends, fellow world citizens… in other words people just like you.

Photos for Peace

We're so jazzed to premiere for you the launch of our new “Photos for Peace” program right here in our digital "back yard". Imagine: the magic of your favorite shots out there working 24/7 to awaken empathy, inspire hope and empower practical programs that really make a difference in our world. We are looking for images that celebrate the infinite diversity of life on earth. A market place in Marrakesh. The face of stranger in a bar in Madrid. The crowded streets of New York. Bananas drying in the sun of some African village. Thrilling. Heart-wrenching. Poignant. Beautiful.

Copy RIGHT

All images will be integrated into web, digital and print communications, initially to complete the process of recruiting and training this growing "Coreteam" of EquiLife co-developers (overview and application available!) and finally, once launched, empowering the success of this life-saving, world-changing dynamic new aid organization. All "Photos for Peace" photographer participants will be offered the opportunity to host a featured bio, contact information and link back to your photo portfolio, if desired. Note: EquiLife's photo usage agreement honors all progressive artist and image copyright protections (CC, GFDL, CopyLeft, etc.).

One good turn deserves...

Whether as a smart addition to your portfolio, a unique framed piece for your wall or just some fun content for a new Flickr Set, all participating "Photographers for Peace" will have the option to receive hi-res pre-press digital master versions of any communication designs EquiLife creates integrating their work...for FREE! Cool, eh?

Thanks!

Please visit us at www.equilife.org. The site itself is still under construction (waiting for your photos!) but there is a /PDF brochure with brief overview of EquiLife background, mission, vision and programs available for download.

Welcome to a way to use your art to transform the challenges of our generation into the adventure of a lifetime.
