Elizabeth was the meanest sky diving instructor I ever met. But this pocket of rage and emotion was understandable as she only did this job for the money; she was fearful of heights. She told me as I was preparing for my first jump that she signed up with a temp agency in town, and they placed her with Bobby Bodacious's Skydiving School as a temp instructor. So her anger was masked in fear, which I didn't mind as I was actually tricked into jumping anyway. As I clutched to the railing holding my limp body inside, Liz told me that her only wish was that she have her camera up there to photograph not only the beautiful south New Jersey landscape below us, but also the true emotions of the freaks who jumped out of perfectly good planes. See, she was a photographer at heart, and she lived and breathed a frame-by-frame existance. I was so taken by the passion in her voice for her craft that I forgot my parachute as I jumped. Luckily I had just watched the MacGyver marathon on TBS, so I quickly took off my pants, tied the ends of my pant legs together, used a couple squares of duct tape and a couple drops of Carbon Methane I keep with me at all times and created a jet pack which I activated moments before impact, landing squarly in front of a diner just outside of Camden. I'll never forget Elizabeth and her passion for the world outside her.

I have seen a lot of Photographs here on Flickr, I have browsed thousands of sets from hundreds and hundreds of Photographers. Usually I will find a photo or twelve that I like, I have even found photos that I love, and want to comment on, add notes to, and fave. But never before have I found someone who captivated me and held onto my interest like epellette. I have not made it through her entire photostream yet. I will need to take my time because I find myself wanting to comment on every one of her photos. And I don't want to flood her recent comments link with my babbling :-). No matter what the subject matter, epellette captures it flawlessly and with the detail and uniqueness only a true top notch professional can manage. Truly incredible.
