I have a great passion for learning about insects through photography.
I specialize in insect photography for teaching, research, decoration/appreciation and advances in insect biology, ecology, behaviour and distribution.

Who I select as FLICKR contacts-
1. Other photographers that have a "significant" collection of HIGH quality insect images or from a geographical area that I am interested in.
2. Photographers or viewers that can help me ID the insects I post or ID their own insects.
3. Photographers that present a particular insect imaging technique. For example, microscopy focus stacking. Also looking to improve lightning by use of DIY diffusers
4. Loyal viewers of my images who provide good, interesting, humorous or critical feedback.
5. "Selected" family :)
Insect identification: I believe that I am mostly correct on the IDs of the insects in my photostream. However, please double check from at least 2 additional sources to confirm if you have a similar insect. Ocassionally, errors in ID in my photostream are discovered. Use the information presented in my photostream at your own risk. I am greatly greatful to www.bugguide.net and all the experts members of that group that so kindly and quickly support the ID of the insect images that I send to them. It is a great site!!!
Thanks to all of you that visit my photostream! For those of you that are my contacts and publish non-hexapoda images, I do not provide feedback on those images. I do exceptions sometimes...
NOTE: I reduce all my images to horizontal/vertical max pixel count of 900 to post on this photostream (there are some exceptions). But I have the high resolution images available for various uses including sales! Send me an email if you are interested.
