N!03 è uno studio di produzione video e multimediale nato nel 2003 dall'unione di diverse competenze nell'ambito della ricerca visiva e sonora. Si propone come laboratorio di ricerca sull'immagine con particolare attenzione alla progettazione di ambienti video interattivi e immersivi.

La ricerca artistica e tecnica di N!03 si concentra sulla progettazione di allestimenti multimediali per mostre e musei. Molta cura è dedicata alla creazione di ambienti e scenari video, interattivi e non, che abbiano un forte potere evocativo, in cui immagini, suoni e rumori seducano l’attenzione e la partecipazione dello spettatore. L’immagine video, unitamente al suono e alla progettazione architettonico-spaziale, è indagata per trovare nuove possibilità di comunicazione e di interazione con il pubblico.

Questo tratto caratteristico della ricerca di N!03 è avvalorato dall’impiego di strumenti tecnologici non esibiti per consentire al pubblico una relazione più diretta con le immagini presentate.

N!03 is a video and multimedia production studio set up in 2003 when a series of different professional abilities in visual and sound research decided to join forces.

It was set up as image based research laboratory with a particular focus on the designing of interactive and “total” video environments.

N!03’s artistic and technical research ranges from the designing of multimedia environments for exhibitions and museums to the creation of art, theatre and design videos, to the design and production of video projections for theatre shows and opera right up to the production of promotional and educational documentary films.

A great deal of care is given over to the creation of video scenarios and environments, be they interactive or not, that might carry a strong evocative power, and in which the images, sounds and noises capture the spectator’s attention and participation. The video image, together with the sound and the spatial/architectural design possibilities, is investigated in order to come up with new opportunities for communication and interaction with the audience by means of a very rigorous structure that may nevertheless be open to many interpretations.

This particular trait of N!03’s research is further backed by the use of unobtrusive technological tools that allow the public to have a more direct relationship with the imagery.
