Originally from Stuttgart, Germany, I'm a London-based graphic designer, musician and photographer, specialising in reportage, travel and portrait photography.

The photos on this flickr page are a random collection of some of my work rather than a chronological 'photostream'.

I work as a freelance photographer and my pictures have won several awards and have been featured in magazines, on record covers and in exhibitions by Corbis and D&AD, as well as solo shows.

in 2007 I published the book 'Happiness' (together with my wife Maren), a documentation of a 56 day journey around the globe combined with stories about meeting local people and finding out what makes them happy.

The book, published by Bucher/Prestel won the ITB Book Award for best illustrated travel book 2008 and is available from Amazon and all good book shops around the world. For more information visit www.happiness-book.com.
