"I write crime fiction and I photograph what takes my fancy. I'm holding out against digital for as long as I can. My workhorse camera is a Nikon FG. I also use a Minolta Dynax 5, especiallly for night work, and I do like to play with a Mamiya C22o now and then. I believe electronics has its place but I don't believe that electronics is necessarily better, nor that it is an advantage to have everything including your thinking done for you. I love the feel of classic equipment in my hand and I still feel the magic of the process of chemical photography that is missing from digital work."

Or so I wrote 20 years ago when I first joined Flickr. These days I still have the Nikon FG, which comes out for a spin occasionally, but I've gone over to the dark side long since and work with a Nikon Z fc and a Fujifilm X10. To be honest I'd forgotten I'd written that profile but I'll leave it there for historical reasons.
