Ik kan geraakt worden door iets als een lichtstraal of een schaduwvorm, een klein detail of fragment, een kleur, lijnen of rondingen. Ik ontwikkel mij steeds meer als iemand die fotografeert wat ze “ziet” in plaats van “kent”. Door deze manier van kijken zijn mijn foto’s vaak abstract of minimal. Mijn foto’s zijn puur, dat wil zeggen: geen gebruik van flitslicht en geen bewerkingen met photoshop (hoogstens om bij te snijden of een horizon recht te trekken).

Sinds de opkomst van de digitale fotografie ben ik steeds fanatieker aan het fotograferen. Sinds augustus 2010 heb ik een eigen fotostream op flickr.com. Ik leer nog steeds.

I am often touched by things like a ray of light or a shadow, a tiny detail or fragment, a colour, lines or curves. I am becoming more and more somebody who shoots what she “sees” in stead of what she “knows”. This way of observing make my photographs more abstract or minimal. My photographs are pure i.e.: no flash-light and no photoshopping (apart from occasional cutting or straightening of a horizon).

Since the rise of digital photography I grew ever more fanatic. Since 2010 I have my own photostream on flickr.com. I am still learning.

Sono spesso toccata da un raggio di luce o da un ombra, per esempio, da un minuscolo dettaglio o da un frammento, un colore, da linee e curve. Sempre di più sto diventando qualcuno che scatta quello che “vede” invece di quello che “conosce”. Questo modo di osservare rende le mie foto più astratte o minimali. Le mie foto sono senza artifici, ad esempio non uso il flash e nessun programma di fotoritocco (fanno eccezione il taglio occasionale della foto o la correzione dell’allineamento).

Dall’origine della fotografia digitale sono diventata sempre più fanatica. Da 2010 ho un mio album fotografico su flickr.com. Sto ancora imparando.
