I am someone who almost never liked photography. I started learning when I was younger, before digital cameras because widespread. Composition was hard for me and I didn't quite grasp the idea of a "subject" in my photos. I simply took pictures. Add that to the fact that buying film is not easy when you're 10 and only have a $5/week allowance. So I gave up for awhile, until my friend's wedding a few years ago. I only had a point and shoot but the wedding photographer was kind enough to let me tag along and snap some photos on my own. They turned out great, better than I expected, and I found myself wanting more. I kept on shooting, even researching tips and technique to try and improve. Eventually I needed a DSLR, so I bought my Canon XSI and it's be fun ever since.
