Emory was raised on a homestead east of Calgary and has spent most of his life outdoors. He became interested in photography in the early 90’s and has been out on the prairie ever since. Emory is a graduate of SAIT’s Photography Certificate of Achievement program and was a runner-up in the Calgary Stampede Western Photo Competition in 2015. “I try to interpret the character of the land and capture the colour and life that is contained in the prairie; something I believe is often overlooked.”
