I found empirik through a search for D40 photos a couple of months ago, and got stuck browsing his pictures. He's a really polite, friendly and cool person with a great sense of humour (check out his Charles-set!), and a good Flickrfriend. I am amazed by how he manages to squeeze out the very best out of every picture, both the technical and artistic parts. He masters everything from long exposure and scenic photography, action and animal photography, to street and portraits. Not to mention he gives me and many others valuable insight into japanese culture and lifestyle through his snapshots of everyday life in Tokyo. This guy is a living proof that it's the photographer that matters, not the gear; most of his photos are taken with the kit lens. Oh, and I definitely blaim him for my D40-purchase.
