Emily is hands down one of my biggest artistic influences. Ever since I discovered her on flickr, she has been a constant source of inspiration to me. Emily is the one who got me into face art. Without her subtle influence, who knows where my 365 would have gone? And there certainly wouldn't be a My Face is My Canvas group. So everybody who's a member there should thank her as well. Emily is an absolutely tremendous artist in so many different mediums. She pushes the limits constantly and has such a unique style. She is emulated by many (myself included) but there is absoluely no substitute for the real thing. The bottom line: I simply cannot wait to see what she comes up with next. And the desire to see more of her work only grows stronger by the day.

Emily’s photography has evolved into a truly unique style of art. Her self-portraits have so much emotion packed in that one can’t help but share in her feelings when looking at them. She is constantly inventing different sets and series that will blow your mind. Take a look at her “Symptoms May Include” series and you’ll see what I mean. Her landscapes and architectural shots are gorgeous and make you feel as though you were there with her. Have I mentioned her make-up skills? She’s a true artist when it comes to exotic and theatrical make-up, and the characters she can invent with one stroke of the mascara wand really take it to a new dimension. In short- Em is a good friend and a great photographer and if you haven’t checked her out yet…. What are you waiting for!?

I can't even explain just how awesome Emily is. I think i met Emily when I first started the 365 project, and when I thought that I was going to quit on the first week, she was one of the first to give me helpful suggestions to keep on going with the project. What I really enjoy about her 365 photos are that her eyes always tell such a beautiful story in all of her shots, she is so expressive in many of her photos. I am impressed with how Emily executes each photo and even some of the subjects/topics that she touches on. Emily is without a doubt a person who will change this world with her photos. She isn't afraid and that's what makes her such a strong photographer.

Emily and I met in the summer of 2007 on a trip to Europe. I didn't pay her much attention. It was when she did something that others found weird, she took photographs of flowers and candles just for the sheer art. I found that very awesome and did the same thing. Now two years later, Emily's photography has grown from small snapshots to these beautiful works of art! I envy her and her beautiful photography and photo skills. When I get some money I plan on buying some of her photography! Her pictures are better than a lot of the professional photos I see in magazines. Emily is creative and talented but what has inspired me the most is her kindness. She never hesitates to help me out with a technique or even make a tutorial for me ( :O ) I am glad that I know such a great person and even happier that i can call her my friend :)
