I began collecting dolls and making clothes for them on 2006. I soon began to modify my dolls, repainting, rerooting and making fashions. It was a way of bonding with the dolls and making them truly mine. On Autumn 2009 I took part in the Couture Doll Design Challenge and won. I was featured in a doll magazine FDQ for the first time. An article featuring my OOAK fashions in Haute Doll and commission orders soon followed. I began working as a doll fashion designer.

Soon repainting other people's doll was not enough and I was talking about a mutual dream of creating our own doll with my friend Jing. After two years of sculpting a doll from wax we started a company together and found a factory to cast our new doll. Inamorata was born. In December 2012 we launched the first OOAK Inamorata Mirrorball that was donated to a charity auction to be held at IDEX. Mirrorball was given the Industry's award of excellence 2012.

It's been nearly a decade since I wrote the words above and I am so grateful that I have been able to make a living being a doll maker. Art is not only a career and passion for me, but a basic need that tears out of my body if trying to suppress it by doing others things. It allows me to express myself and live a life surrounded by beauty and meaning. Thank you for all your support over the years.

My website is www.inamoratadolls.com

I have also started a YouTube channel to share tutorials in hopes that my love of doll making might be contagious!
