Received my first camera, a Comet 127, in 1952 and have been taking photos most of the time since then. Firstly, I used film cameras, and had my own darkroom for many years. In 1999 I bought my first digital camera and have used digital cameras only ever since. Although I have owned DSLRs, the last being a Canon 1D and 'L' lenses, I now have a Micro 4/3 Panasonic GH2 and 4 lenses. The weight and size of this outfit is less than a third of the Canon one which is an enourmous advantage to me (when getting older less weight to carry is welcome). And I get just as good pictures.
And, of course, I still use my Panasonic LX5, which goes everywhere with me.
2016 update. I now use a Panasonic GX8 almost exclusively. It is my favourite of all the cameras I have owned.
2020 My camera is now a Lumix G9. i also have a new lens, a Panasonic 100-400 mm Leica DG Vario-Elmar Power Lens.
